Perpendicular Thought theory - Whenever certain thoughts or chain of events
threaten your minds thinking capabilities, the best thing to do is to
constantly think of things unrelated to the current thought/event (something
which will help to preoccupy your already busy mind). The reason being when you
are next ready to think of the thought or event you will be able to judge it
more rationally. Another good reason is that you can easily escape the pain(if
any) for the time being and remain sane to deal with it. – CHARUTA

Personally it took me
years to master the art of perpendicular thought implementation. It helps me to
disconnect if but temporarily from that which is negative and drains me down.
What I find most rewarding is to immerse myself in someone else's life by reading
a book. The act helps me to forget my life troubles for a while and refreshes
me in the end.
I do not know if my theory can help you but it is worth a try. What say???
