Life a Paradox!!!

Life is a paradox for:

If you are poor, you are incompetent.
If you are rich, you might try to bend people.
If you are ugly, you have no appeal.
If you are good looking, you might have an attitude.
If you keep mum, you are labelled dumb.
If you speak up, you are arrogant.
If you hide the facts, you are a liar.
If you are honest, you hurt people.
If you wait for others, you are a loser.
If you take the first step, you are selfish.
If you are ready to compromise, you have no personal values.
If you are uncompromising, you have a big ego.
If you criticize, you are judgmental.
If you praise, you are flattering.
If you hold off for miracles to happen, you are lazy.
If you act upon your dreams, you are foolhardy.
If you are simple, you do not have a class.
If you are modern, you are flashy.
If you listen to others, you lack judgement.
If you follow you heart, you have no respect for others opinions.
If you shy away, you lack confidence.
If you take action, you are overconfident.
If you are atheist, you are ungrateful.
If you believe with your mind and soul, you are a dreamer.

These are but a few paradoxes of our life, for every thought in itself is a paradox. It is so because different people measure things differently. And yet we wish to find perfect harmony when constantly lying, judging, criticizing etc.  to oneself as well as to others.

A dedication!

Give me a book and I'll forget the world.
Give me a song and I'll call the almighty himself.
Give me a beat and I'll let go of my body.
Give me a sheet and I'll draw my mind.

But

Lend me your ears and I'll boost your moral.
Lend me your eyes and I'll help you meet the real you.
Lend me your hands and I'll never let go.
Lend me your legs and I'll accompany you on your journey.
Lend me your fears and I'll become your strength.
Lend me your sorrows and I'll create happiness.
Lend me your thoughts and I'll become your voice.
Lend me your imagination and I'll create a whole new world.
Lend me your faith and I'll move the mountains.
Lend me your dreams and I'll help build them.
Lend me your heart and I'll cherish it.
Lend me your time and I'll make it all worthwhile.

Perpendicular Thought theory

Perpendicular Thought theory - Whenever certain thoughts or chain of events threaten your minds thinking capabilities, the best thing to do is to constantly think of things unrelated to the current thought/event (something which will help to preoccupy your already busy mind). The reason being when you are next ready to think of the thought or event you will be able to judge it more rationally. Another good reason is that you can easily escape the pain(if any) for the time being and remain sane to deal with it.  – CHARUTA JAGTAP

Personally it took me years to master the art of perpendicular thought implementation. It helps me to disconnect if but temporarily from that which is negative and drains me down. What I find most rewarding is to immerse myself in someone else's life by reading a book. The act helps me to forget my life troubles for a while and refreshes me in the end.

I do not know if my theory can help you but it is worth a try. What say???

Mommy Dearest!

I fondly call her mummy. She became my closest confidant during the harshest period of my life. Somehow when I lost faith in myself, she was the one who reignited the flame in me to  believe in myself and my dreams. In her own small ways she has pushed me in the forward direction. Some of the most important things dat I learnt from her include positive thinking, faith in God d almighty, to always look at both sides of a coin, never judge someone without knowing them personally, help the needy, always maintain a certain distance from everyone and yet be close to them, never act as middle men, be independent and support those in need, few kind words or love have immense power to brighten someones future (as do poisonous words kill ones dreams), want not waste not, our eyes and ears are deceptive and mostly see and hear only that what we wish to rather than that what is true- so always look for the truth, TRUTH - is the might and the one thing which even God does not have the power to deny, never accept favors from others which you might not be able to repay at a later date, respect one and all and they will have no choice but to do the same in return, the one support you can always count on is family support especially during trying times (widout it you would definitely be morally broke), problems are best solved by consulting your elders and seniors rather then keeping them hidden from them, you can never have enough people to vouch for your lies- so just  say d truth and be done with the pain, whenever you can not change the person in front of you, change yourself- they will definitely change in the process, your thoughts actually have the power to become reality (try it), good deeds never go unrewarded, learn from your past and take only that which will lead you onwards, that which can not be achieved by words can be achieved with silence, others pain can never give you happiness etc. etc. etc..............

Oh I remember very well how I must have given her hell with my stubborn attitude as a small girl, the crying fits, the angry jibes etc. and yet she persisted in bringing out the better me. Some time in my childhood I hated english. My mom would actually make me discuss the essay topics at first, write a rough draft with all the discussed points, have the essay written in my own words, make stupendous corrections /additions/deletions in the process. All of the above process would make me extremely angry but today I'm thankful to her for putting in that precious time just to correct my essays time and again. As a working mother some might feel she could have hardly had time to instill values/morals of good taste and yet here we (me and my brother) stand proudly. She has worked all her life before and after we were born just to make our life more beautiful and comfortable. She literally has a lions share in all the worldy benefits that we enjoy today in our life. Infact, despite having a job which today's best of engg's can only dream of she is humble and down to earth. Somehow she is one of the simplest person I've ever come across. Ever ready to help one and all, she mostly forgets to take care of her own needs. The needs which for a high paid women like her are few, namely love and wellfare of her children. There are many other greater deeds which she has performed and of which she is simply not proud or haughty. But one thing is for sure she is THE BEST MOM in the whole wide world.

LUV YA TONS MUMMY........:))))

Back with a BANG!!!

Ahhhh! Exams over, done with the family trip and now I guess is the time to start gearing up for some personal growth. Its irritating to know that you have heaps of work piled up and  are unable to decide on a good enough sequence to execute your plans. So many small ideas are born and  inadvertently die an infant's death. There was a time when I used to quib about the slow progress of our day today life. But now I know you actually need strong conviction in your ideas and the strength to go the extra mile with a razor sharp focus. Besides you need convincing skills and the power to win people over to your side.
Each of the above skills are equally present in every individual who can eat, sleep and work. The only difference between those who are able to convince others about their ideas and those who can not, is the level of conviction and the hunger to accomplish what you start. Every individual muddles in numerous paths and thus remain undecided on the one path which will lead to his salvation or rather success. Though fear of failure is one of the major reasons for people refraining from taking a step ahead, most people either put all their eggs in one basket or others simply put the eggs in numerous baskets making it difficult for them to be able to keep track at the end of  the day.
If everyone were to have a single goal say being happy in life/rich etc., getting what they want would be a lot easier(of course with a lot of hard work). The best example would be a game of football or basketball. Both games require a team to score in the goal post of the opposite team. Thus, both teams have a single goal i.e. to score in the opposite teams goalpost. Every team player dedicates his/her skills to see to it that they achieve the goal in time. It is only then that a win is possible.
Beyond the actual game lies the window of success or failure with equal probability. However, am sure everyone of you will agree that an actual win or loss does not mean that the same team can not reverse the outcome in another game. Though life is not necessarily a game, it still requires individuals to have a single goal and a wish to achieve it in the given time frame. After the game even if one were to lose it, one can still make a come back in the next game.
After all, life is as Darwin stated Survival of the fittest.

Paper or Tablet?

The surge of so many tablets, androids, reading devices etc. make me wonder whether ten years down the line we will be using paper or rather e-paper. It is only logical that as telegrams, telephones, pagers, mobiles, PC's, laptops, smart phones, androids, tablets... replaced each other in the order of their occurrence, that in the near future our kids will make use of touch pads/tablets to study rather than pen and paper. Can we call it a revolution?
Classic paper lovers like me (not that I do not like the concept of ebooks) believe that reading devices or tablets will only lead to strained eyes from a very young age for one and all. At mid twenties I feel my eyes straining from the constant visual barrage and information overload. Though literally speaking technology is supposed to simplify life, it is in actual sesnse making it that much more complicated. How many people will confess to their hard copy books being stolen? In contrast our hi-tech gadgets are always a lure for the thieves. Besides they are a treasure trove of personal information. They can simply provide the holder valuable information about your likes/dislike, work and other sensitive personal information. Not to forget uncle Sam can always poke his dirty nose when needed to get to you.
So all in all, how good is a device which can give you away, strain your eyes (to die an early death), cause a lot of toxic waste especially when you throw away your old devices/batteries etc.? How good is all this in contrast to our good old hard books? Am a techno lover but also love the classic styles. It is time that will tell if I stay loyal to the good old days or switch over to the dark side!!!

Learning Curve

Ever since I made up my mind to be successful (in the years to follow...:P), I've inadvertently realized that I'll need to take on a learning curve that goes up with time and believe me guys it is not an easy task. It takes enough time, patience, hard work and determination on your part to actually learn something.
Take the simple example of a child learning to stand/walk/talk, it requires time and persistence on his/her part to be able to do the above activities. Next up, you can take the example of learning a language. It is by no means a small feat and requires dedication and actual practice. If you were to make a list, it would surely be an endless one. Once I read an article where they stated that simply saying 'Thank you' or 'Sorry' can make a huge difference on the receivers day and yours indirectly. Following it took quiet some exercise on my part. Till date I'm still practicing the novel mannerism and try to use the phrases as generously as possible. Next up, the simple task of looking for relevant information on the internet and at the same time assimilating it is an arduous task. I guess learning comes still further on the same path.
It has only helped reinforcing the fact that learning is an ongoing process which will take place as long as you wish to move ahead in life. For those who are satisfied it will actually stop or may even take a downward trend. Downward because today life is changing at a lightening pace and unless you wish to keep up you will else you are bound to fall back.
And yes it takes TIME which is quiet a costly commodity for someone like you and me....
