Grown Up Or Not?

    I was just browsing through a website on free debate and it struck me as to whether we have really grown up to be adults or are we becoming more child like in our behavior with each passing day.

    Let me share with you first what I felt relates to being child like:
- We all love our online social life and would safeguard it as much as we would our integrity in real life situations.
- We all like to stand out in the ever increasing crowd both online and off it.
- We would all love to be recognized by our close circles as well as other people at large.
- We make conscious/subconscious efforts to be in the lime light.
- We would like very much to have a good many followers and in the mean time a stage to exhibit our true inner self (one which may be other wise ridiculed by our close family and friends)

    In short what do you think we are behaving like?

    Don't you feel that we behave just like a toddler trying to grab the attention of all those in its vicinity.

    So the basic question that arises is whether we have really grown up or have we started behaving child like.

    My analysis leads me to the conclude that we have actually started behaving child like. At every turn of events we want some or the other people to be our devoted audience who will clap every time we perform a task. We very much wish to be appreciated and thought to be unique in ourselves. But then the question arises whether we are really unique or not.......

    I think we are not. We all are human beings with fairly similar needs at core. What really distinguishes us from each other is our inner drive to reach our goals from time to time without actually trying to woo the masses at each and every turn of events. You actually need to be positive always about your idea and try to work it out in order to really achieve it.
