Why be sad/disheartened?

It is very common to see people become sad /disheartened/angry etc. at others. Many even get angry with people whom they hardly know. Think back in time and am sure you will be able to recall more than one occasion when you must have felt the same. The root cause in most situations is the fact that we directly or indirectly expect some or the other behavior from these people and when they do not comply we become angry/sad and so on.
Don't you think it feels quiet childish to expect from others. I believe in the fact that why expect from others when we are capable ourselves! Let me relate this statement with an example. Say in the recent days some of my MMS classmates were miffed that I and some others formed a project group of bright people. They were of the view that we should've consulted them before forming a new group. What they did not realize is that each and every individual tries to do their best and their relaxed attitude towards project and presentations had prompted us to make the changes in our groups. So, why should forming a new group cause them to be angry at their colleagues?
The above situation actually highlights the common insight people hold in day today life. What most people look at is only one side of the coin. They perceive such a situation as a problem and get angry/sad etc. However, if one were to look at the other side, they would see an opportunity to come out of the shadow of bright people in the class and make a positive impression of their own on the faculty. It will in effect make them more cautious and at the same time increase their determination to prove themselves. If perceived in the right angle the above situation can actually turn into a beneficial one to one and all.
My only advise would be deflate your ego, reduce your expectations and look at every problem as an opportunity and viola you have a path to success. In my view until you are able to do the same you will never be able to face the many problems that life has to offer..........
